Two and a half days. Cabin with concrete floors and bunkbeds. 8 girls, yes 8. Different groups and activities all day long like "find you way through this maze in the forest with your compass" In our group, we lost three teams on the first leg, one being my daughter and her friend, because they found a field of really pretty flowers. Another one was "go in the creek to find critters". Upon finding the critter (aka worm), there was much screaming and jumping around causing the critter to land in someone's hair to screams of "get it out! get it out! GET IT OUT!" which we couldn't do because she was jumping around screaming, cue two little boys to "fall" in to the creek and get algae in their hair which was "cool".
Other activities which are too numerous to mention but you can imagine. Oh, and of course I saw all the girls going in and out of one cabin so I had to investigate. Cue to a little girl with her arms folded over her chest and her eyes closed chanting "light as a feather still as a board, light as a feather stiff as a board" and another girl crying because "SHE FLOATED AND HER EYES GOT SO BIG" I put the kebash on that one. Noone in OUR cabin fell of the top bunk, but there were three casulaties in the boys cabin. Many camp songs, which I now cannot get out of my head, including one with the words "fried bologna" in it, and I learned that I have no coordination to do the hand gestures AND sing, it's one or the other.
Very loud for my daughter with campfire songs and screaming kids. The first night I took her out early because I could see she was going to crash and the next night as well, but she did REALLY well. There were a bunch of kids that took meds for ADHD and I could easily pick them out. I was so happy that we were able to do the whole trip and I will cherish it forever!
