O have been unplugging my son's tv more often through the week. It has made a difference, he's reading more with out fussing cause I finally found a book he likes and can nearly read on his own... Thanks to Dr. Guess and his friends, he is reading the Bernstein bears book of b's. Reading has been nearly non-existent since preschool. An in about an hour and a half he did 2 math sheets of + / - with double digits, that use to be a nightmare.

He appears to be changing ad he gets older. His hyper activity seems to decreased and focus is a little sharper. I told myself not to force or push because I would only frustrate myself when he starts guessing at the words.

I have been try in incoorperate numbers and games into the mix with teaching him to play dominos and I found these tiny clithes pins at the dollar store that we use as counters.

I am jumping ahead if myself a bit because I was wondering how I would teach x / ÷ when that time comes.

Looks lime I'll be here for a while. I could have done these past few months without this community.

Thanks for ALL the great advice FAM.

I'm glad it's helping! We have a very restrictive screen time use for our 6 yo w/ ADHD. It's helped - and screen time is a great incentive to have in my pocket if needed.

As for teaching multiplication & division, maybe first try teaching counting by groups of each number using your clothes pins (counting by 10s, by 5s, by 2s, etc?) This will at least explain what multiplication is. Though I am not an educator nor have been through this with my kids yet, so hopefully others will have ideas for you. 😊
