I feel like this article was written by someone who does not work directly with children struggling with these issues. In my opinion its very "cold" and sterile.

Regardless, the characteristics described in the article so closely align with what we experience with my daughter who has been diagnosed anxiety and ADHD. When younger she also was very defiant/non-compliant/argumentative but I feel with the work done over the years in counselling, speech therapy, and parent training those aspects have diminished significantly. She still struggles with all the rest of it, and depending on the day and how she's coping determines the level of defiance we see.

It seems there is alot of overlap with how these disorders present in childhood, making it difficult sometimes to determine accurate diagnosis....or the fluidity of diagnosis meaning one professional says its "this" while another says its "that" or how things shift/change over the years and diagnosis morph into something different!
