I commented on many more posts than I probably should. I am a parent just like many if you, trying to get educated about what ADHD IS and What ADHD is not. I commented shared what I was thinking and feeling at the time.

Just so all of you know, you have the right to review and check the staus of ANYONE who works with your kids. Chance are if they hold a professional licenses they can be found on the internet. Not all will have established a profile for public review, but many have and had reviews written about then.

Back in late January I and my daughter took my grandson to see a professional neurotherapist, she came recommended from anther neurotherapist whom I lived dearly.

The woman was older didn't have an email a dress on record not did she respond by email. Took forever to contact me after I letter her a phone message and even seemed to be disorganised or disoriented when we visited her office. I call her a few weeks ago to give an update in our status and she has yet to return my call. Calling and leaving a 1000 messages is not my thing because there are 1000 if other Dr's specialist in the Same thing that I could if I thought our situation was that bad.

He 6 and a boy who doesn't like school, he thinks he could just stay at home and watch tv all day. He doesnt that he us nit like any other kid. Why does ge gave ti kbow that he is nit lije any other kid who just want to play. Why must I treat him like he don't know what time it is because communication pattern is a little different than that if kids his age. Many times he had to clue us in on somethings and we didn't believe him until after we verified it.

These ADHD kids are not stupid in any way. I believe we are pushing for for what seems to be normal typical behavior. Maybe some kids need to move more than others. We jump for you when our 2 year olds can talk exceptionally well for their age compared to others at the same age, but when they are 4 or 5 or 6 and talk more than should about something that interests them, there's something wrong.

I think the Dr's are quick to push medication less offer quick to write a prescription for therapy.

You don't have to be little by a therapist or a Dr. So anyway, give advise to the mom who son was be little in his therapy session.
