6 scared of dark and restless

I noticed that my 6 year old is becoming more and more scared of the dark. Thought it would quickly since it didn't start until he was around five. Covers himself from head to toe and often appears to be restless after a few hours into his sleep. It seems as though he maybe acting out his day in sleep. Told Dr. about this he did seem to concerned about it.

Cut back on his music until he asks for it.

Should continue the music night lights and click with white noise.

I have noticed the same with my son who is 11 years. He gets better sleep at night if I sleep with him. His days at school goes well with better sleep at night. I was worried that, has something happened to him without my knowledge that is causing this. Reading yours, looks like it is natural for ADHD. If any other parents noticed this please respond.

Most children that have ADHD symptoms have anxiety. In fact many times the anxiety is what is driving impulsive behaviors. I have found treating my sons anxiety and our own anxiety has helped him tremendously. I encourage all parents seek advice from a therapist to help their children.
