When school enrollment applications ask, "Has your child been diagnosed with adhd?"

My son is in the 8th grade and I was applying to a private high school and the question about ADHD is on the application. I've seen these before, but at the time he was not diagnosed. This question on applications bothers me. I feel like they are using it to discriminate against children. What are your thoughts?

Just be honest, some schools are allowing certain accommodations for kids and teens with adhd now, it might not feel good to have that label on your son, but that's all it is, a label, nothing else. You and the school will be doing him a favor. Would've loved to have had that accommodation back in my day, especially during tests.
