Caffeine as a booster?

Has anyone ever tried caffeine as an afternoon booster? My 9-year old daughter is on 10mg of focalin, which works great during the day, but once it wears if, she has total impulsivity and lack of focus issues. Our pediatrician is reluctant to give her a booster because of her age, but a friend suggested giving her green tea. Has anyone had any success with this approach?

As a side note, we recently started her on Vayarin, but it's too soon to see any difference yet as it takes at least a month to build in her system.

  • I have seen reports on TV about this helping. But I researched caffeine tablets once and there were a lot of warnings. Of course, I know there are warnings on everything but I decided not to take chance.
