Are there options for public school not online? Does he know why he is depressed? Figuring henis in counseling i would work on his mental health first and let the school work follow. He might fall a bit behind but once he has a plan he might be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel. He is probably frustrated and overwhelmed from school work and once behind feels like he can’t catch up- so why bother. Good luck.
