Hello, My name is Casey I live in Columbus Ohio. My son Brody was diagnosed with ADHD with behavior disturbances and ODD last year. It has been a real struggle, he is be hind in his grades the school refused an IEP. Everyday is a constant fight and struggle that ends in both of us crying. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I have his younger brother as well who does not get enough attention because almost all free time is spent dealing with Brody. They just switched his meds and we are waiting to see if that will help. I hope it does. I miss my little boy

Why did the school refuse an IEP? Did you have another letter from the doctor diagnosing him. He is certified by a doctor is having ADHD they can't refuse to accommodate him. It's against the law.

It's hard when other kids are bit left out because you spend so much of your energy on the one who's out of control.

The school said he was showing some progression in his grades so he didnt need one. Even though he is still at a kindergarten level. Nationwide childrens hospital is now getting involved. I'm hoping they can help
