For us it's been the lack of sleep since birth. Having routine has helped our home life but it's been hard to keep it up sometimes. When I say hes ADHD to people, many are surprised but once they get to know him, if they understand it, they really get him.
Most people think disruptive and naughty child when they hear ADHD but it's not always the case. He's a fidgeter, constantly on the go and in his own head most of the time but he's a good boy, polite and kind too and I wouldn't change anything about him. I'm sure you'll all feel that way too.

This is a hard one to answer, as ADHD behaviours and FASD behaviours get so intertwined it's hard to know what's what! Although that said, last evening we were out with another family with a child with FASD and the Mum asked if our little man always had so much energy, and always ran around so much. I said Yes, that's the ADHD. She said, my one doesn't have that!!! So I suppose the sheer amount of energy/activity that is so hard to keep up with would be the most problematic symptom for us.
For me it was my focus and organisation. I mean I'm not saying that I was brilliant at it when I was younger but now it seems to have gotten worse probably to compensate for the fact that I am not as hyper as I used to be!! LIFE
Our son has problems with going to sleep at night, too. It was like his brain just kept going and going and he couldn't turn it off. He is five now and about 6 months ago his doctor recommended that he take 1 mg of melatonin to help him get to sleep. We give him that at 7:30 and by 8:30 he is asleep. Just wanted to share that in case anyone else can benefit from it. Melatonin is naturally made in your own body and it just seems that his body was not making it when he needed it. Now if we can only get him to calm down during the day!
I totally feel you mine is very loving and kind but he is very disruptive and trips a lot he is always on the go and ready. He does sleep super well at night since he was born he would sleep 10-12 hours. I am afraid with my baby though she does not sleep at all. So many kids now a days with so many mental disorders.
