🍏 A cold, wet & windy day to be out & about but I was snug as a bug in a rug as I set off with hubby down to the beachfront. When you dress appropriately the weather becomes irrelevant in a sense. Taking up the challenge I have set myself, I braved (in the light of severe vertigo) the first 10mins walking alone! Once we reached the beach we were able to take shelter & watch the intrepid swimming club have their dip in the North Sea. The sea temperature is 12.4 C and the outside temperature with wind chill is 9degC 🤣 A slower more sedate walk home up the hill with a happy heart.

Unfortunately I have been struck down with a heavy cold/virus (‘kindly’ shared by little ones at work!). BUT I have to get out later whether I feel like it or not because Squiggy needs a walk and hubby is not at home this afternoon. I will wrap up warm and take it slowly 😊

🤣🤣 Believe it or not I have been considering joining the club but starting in the Summer. I used to be part of a polar bear club when I was a School housemother. We jumped in the school dam and swam a width every Tuesday (for a year to earn a certificate) In the winter we broke the ice -14 some days. No wetsuits! When it was that cold we were allowed to get in & out … 🥶
