A lovely early evening dog walk along the road from a parking spot by the secret garden, to Cloughton Wyke.. no cars, or people on the walk, but curious cows in the fields on our left as we passed by. High tide, so we didn’t attempt the walk down the precipitous path to the rocky bay - best to wait anyway until my foot is a little better. We sat on the bench by the Cleveland way cliff path, watched and listened to the waves rolling in, and learned from our Merlin bird app that we could also hear a stonechat chirruping from a tree nearby.

Beautiful and a lovely photograph... well done you... getting back to it That app sounds useful?
Yes walking has become much easier this week - a lot less swelling and very little pain so I think the bone must be nearly healed.
One of my daughter’s friends recommended the Merlin app and I’ve only just started to try it.. it’s a free app created by Cornell university to gather information worldwide for their research. You just open the app to record and it pops up with a photo and the name of the bird you can hear singing. The one we could hear last night was too far away to see if it matched the photo. This morning in our garden it has identified blue tit, great tit and housemartin so far. I do know it’s accurate with those. 😊
This looks lovely out there PeggySusi 👍❤️ My youngest son is at Haven Primrose Holiday Park with his family now, and only 1 hr 40 minutes away from where I live 🤔 So close and still so far away! 👍
Wow! That's beautiful, so happy you are getting out and about more now 😁
Thank you, yes, me too! 😊
Awwwhhhh, that sounds like it was a healing walk. 🙂👏🙏
Nice walk and glad your foot getting a bit better. Will have a look at that app.
So glad that you are getting out and about Sue, I just love your scenery, it's a wonderful part of the country. Get that foot better soon 🙏
