Pain, Pain and more pain.

For over a year i have been living with abdominal pain. It has started suddenly. I woke up at 4 am on the 28th october 2013 and was rushed to the hospital. This is how it begun. I have been seen by 5 specialists. Multiple scans CT, MRI, X-ray, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy... Bloods, Stool urine you name it.

Nothing seems to help to get to the bottom of the cause of the pain.

My frequent hospitalisations due to pain attacks made me unreliable in terms of work.

Depression came soon after 5th month when the pain is always there. 24/7 of pain and cramps and some times more and growing. When it gets to bad its time to call 999 and spend few days on a hospital bed only to be seen by the doctor and greeted with "Oh its you again?"

I was prescribed several medications and pain relief. every day i take

Cetirizine 10mg

Citalopram 40mg

Amitriptyline 20 mg

Cyclizine 50mg X 3

Morphine 60mg X2

Morphine sulfate 10mg/5ml oral solution (as needed, some days i take up to 80 ml)

Movicol

Omeprazole 20mg

Paracetamol 1000mg X4

In the past i was also taking gabapentin but could not continue due to secondary side effect of arthritic pain in my joints that was so bad i could not move. We also tried Progabalin (Lyrica) with same effect

At this stage I have no idea what to do or not to do. I dread waking up to another day of pain. yet still i want to see my wife and my baby as they make my life just more bearable.

I hope im not alone with this and if there any one with same problem and managed to get better let me know what and how.
