my mum had radiation therapy in June this year. Since then she has deteriorated. She is 78 and was otherwise in perfect health.

She now has mobility problems and gets very confused. She’s been readmitted to hospital for more tests and MRI. All v upsetting.

Anybody had similar experiences and how did you deal with it?

Grateful for any advice

With thanks

I am sorry that your Mum isnt well.I had GKradiation for AN when I was 79.

6 months later I had severe vertigo,it took about three months and lots of determination but eventually I improved.I do have a woolly head sometimes,it is like trying to think through cotton wool but it has largely improved.I still walk a little drunk sometimes too and I can't manage well when it is dark.Apart from being deaf and using NHS Bi cros hearing aids 8 years later(age 87)I am ok.I drive my car &run my home etc.I have other health related problems not related to AN but I would say that bit of me is ok and I have been discharged by Addenbrookes hospital.I hope your mother improves,it is early days for her.
