I had surgery on my Neuroma in August 2017 and again in May 2018, it took about a year to get my balance back to a decent standard.
I then had gamma knife in July 2020, I was in the machine for about 1hr 50 mins, I was ill for about a week after then went back to how I was before hand
About 6 months ago I noticed my balance and stability getting worse and a slight increase in the intensity of my headaches, I had a routine 6 month scan in February but have to wait until end of April for my results, I just wondered if this could be a side effect of gamma knife as I knew there was a delay for this but not a year and a half
Would appreciate any feedback from people who have experienced the same
Thankyou Xx

HiI had surgery almost 3years ago and symptoms do still come and go. When worried I email my specialist nurse to help put my mind at rest.
A month ago I had a bad blow to the AN side of my head and seem to be a bit wobbly from time to time also getting headaches since the bump but the weather being cold could be what’s causing the symptoms or it could also be the nerves are playing up due to the bump so I’m trying not to worry too much about it.
Hi, My wife had problems after her gamma knife, the consultant diagnosed an increase in csf. (Apparently quite a common reaction) He put a drain in to take the fluid away. It has worked as she is relatively trouble free some 4 years later. The drain stays in place and just takes away any excess fluid when required. May be worth asking a few questions around this. The fluid can be detected on a scan. Hope this helps, good luck.
