Recurrent inner ear infections

Waiting for a scan to see if my hearing loss in left ear is due to Acoustic neuroma . I have recently had two inner ear infections, characterised by fullness, pain and fever. Has anybody else experienced this?

I went to gp initially with ear infections and was then referred for hearing tests who found high frequency hearing loss .ENT sent me for MRI where AN was diagnosed. All through this journey I was advised that AN was an ‘incidental’ finding and unrelated to the original ear infection; essentially ear infections are common however AN is still a rare condition, many professionals I encountered advised me that they had not met anyone with the condition and MRI is for exclusion. Hope this helps
