Good for you, stay positive x
I guess it was expected; luckily it is small. IMPORTANT! If it is a vestibular schwannoma, VS, (i.e., an AN in the bony area of the ear canal where there is little room for an AN) it can wreck your hearing and balance quickly. My 15 mm VS grew enough in just one month to destroy my left ear balance and hearing. You need to find out whether it is a VS or just an AN elsewhere along the 8th cranial nerve.
The reason I made the VS comments is because if it is not a VS, you CAN stop worrying and be more positive!
As others have said , good positive attitude. Were you told the the size?
Yep got to be positive , 3mm x 6mm x
So good to hear that results and advice are reassuring so far. All best wishes!
I also think that a vestibular schwannoma and AN are the same thing. I was put on watch and wait for a year. Some of these tumours only grow at the rate of 1mm a year. You have the right approach, Get on with it. x
Hi , is your a new diagnosis, Hun & if you don't mind me asking is yours small , but yes just have to carry on , it's not going to change anything , being miserable & worrying about it , in fact might make things worse , I know I've read a few comments were people gave said it's strange when you know it's there & nothing being done about it , but I'm thinking while symptoms are manageable leave alone xx
I was diagnosed in I think 2008. Mine did grow a little and i had surgery in 2010. I lost my hearing but i'm totally fine. i still have a yearly MRI to check the tiny bit of tumour that remains and touch wood, that hasnt changed in the 7 years.
You just have to remember this is a benign tumour and i know it is difficult waiting but really theres nothing you can do. xx
Yep your right , thankyou for replying xx
Glad it is small. Stay your positive self
