Help

The people experiencing feelings of anxiety and sadness are in a very different headspace. They understand that they need help and support but being yourself and thinking with a clear head in that situation is difficult. All I wish to shout at the top of my lungs is "Please Help Me" but I cannot even call someone or text a simple "Hi". I just need to feel ok..

Hi Jenna

Well reaching out on this forum is a start, so well done to you. I'm sorry you haven't had replies sooner. Personally, I've been on a bit of a 'down' lately so haven't posted.

The thing I find helps me get through the days is something recommended to my by a psychologist: 'micro tasks'. When you feel so low that it's a real hurdle to get showered and dressed, don't worry about that, just do a small task you can manage, whether it's putting a load of washing on, or cleaning your teeth, or putting three things away. Then through the day, see how many 'micro tasks' you can manage. It is a way of helping you to feel good about yourself, even when you're feeling pretty terrible. Kind of: 'I felt terrible, but I managed to accomplish a few things.' Maybe one of those things is texting 'Hi' to a couple of people. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I've been there as well. And since covid a whole lot more. I appreciate you posting how you feel. Reading other's experiences helps me to know I'm not the only one feeling like this.

hi Jenna, I so understand what you just wrote. I have not been able to reach out or respond much to posts for a while. I am in pain and pushing myself tiny bit today. All I figure I can do is a tiny push of something small...clean a few dishes, rest... try to read uplifting thing...

Seems like its a good spot for you. I feel what one thing is right for you may not be right for someone else. Don't feel these are small things for you just because someone says washing dishes is small. It is all about pleasing yourself and nobody else. For you its a big step, do not be afraid to appreciate yourself. Anything done or said is very important and purposeful. As long as it leads to your happiness everything is right, ofcourse not to forget to never cross the morality and humanity border.Lots of love and strength to you.

I feel some purpose in my life when I get the feeling that atleast there are some people out there with whom I can relate. I understand it all gets better but to reach the better part it takes a lot of efforts, strength and patience. Its all a different experience for different people. All I can analyse from reading people's experiences is that we just need to make through all the phases in our lives with confidence and self love, the bad parts will pass, we should feel them and let it go. More strength and confidence to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We can do this
