Hi I was wondering if someone could help me to learn how to normally talk to people and just be normal like normal people.
I am an introvert and I have always had difficulties in carring out conversations and just behaving in groups. Even now I do not know what to do in class I just sit down quitely in my place and do nothing , even if someone approaches me I can't keep up with them . I feel wierd sitting alone in a crowded room . I have really tried a lot to fit in but I just can't. Can someone tell me how to mix up?

My advice to you is just be you you've got to work on being comfortable and confident with who you are .keep on speaking up, asking questions and getting to know people better. What is normal honey I don't think there is ever a real normal...you may need to find people you 'click' with don't feel weird because you aren't weird maybe you could be shy or you may feel your being judged ? Try not to worry about what people think..if your in class just join in when your most comfortable just relax and be yourself everything else will fall into place for you
Take care let us know how your doing

Hi I had a look back at a previous post and you said you were made to see psychiatists but you didn't want to? I wonder why as they might have been able to help you. Can you access any help now?
The thing to remember is that we are all different. Some people are extroverts, some introverts, and many neither. Everyone is worried about how they come across to others and what to say etc. even if they don't show it.
If you are in a group situation the best way to fit in is to look interested in what others are saying and pay attention. If you don't know what to say just say nothing and smile. If you are in a 1-2-1 situation and are stuck for conversation ask the person about themselves. Everyone loves talking about themselves and they will think you are a great listener and like you all the more!
Introverts have friends too you know. You haven't got to chatter all the time if you don't want to.
