Hi my name is Wendy this is my first time in a forum. I have depression and anxiety and last year diagnosed with bpd. I have been taught coping mechanisms from professionals but when I’m feeling this low it all goes out the window. I have no energy or motivation and only leave the house when necessary. When I am among people I always feel like I am weird compared to them. I just can’t seem to find my place or purpose in life.

Struggling to cope
Hi Wendy70 and a very warm welcome to our Community.
We have several members with BPD so I hope they will chip in to give their experiences and offer some advice.
I can understand that it is very difficult to motivate yourself when you're feeling low, in fact it's the same for most of us who are depressed or suffer illness, the very time we need to use the 'coping methods' is the time we can't muster the strength or inclination to do anything, but can possibly push yourself to see if the advice they have given you actually works during this period? otherwise you'll never know what works best.
You can always pop on here for a chat anytime Wendy and I hope it helps to know that.
You may like to ring BUK if you're in the UK and she what they can offer.
Take care now.

Thank you Chloe it’s reassuring to know this forum is here with people that understand the problems and issues that go with depression, anxiety, bpd etc. And will not judge as I feel some professionals do. I will try phone that number. Thank you.
Thanks for your reply Wendy70 we never judge our fellow sufferers, our forum is to support each other in any way we can
Good luck and please do let us know how it goes.

chloe40 I have read some of the posts and replies, it is so good to see there are people in same situations talking about their problems and helping with advice or just there to listen (well read)
Hi there Wendy70 welcome to above and beyond its a pleasure to meet you...
Feel rest assured you are certainly not alone all of us on this forum are living the same thing depression anxiety bpd etc...we've all gone and still very much going through it now you are not alone we got you...I do know how it feels to not want to be around certain people or people we don't know I always said they are judging me or they looking at me thinking I'm a strange weirdo 9/10 they more than likely don't but we somehow convince ourselves they do...this is all part of our depression and bpd...are you on medication for your depression and bpd if not maybe a trip to your local doctor and have a chat about helpful advice about meds...here if you need us

Hi Nat thank you for replying. I am so glad I found this forum. I am on a few meds’ and maximum dosage of each. My problem with drs I find it hard to explain how I feel without feeling like a freak so I often say I’m alright or don’t say anything at all. How do you get your head around bpd, at times I think I understand it other times I’m totally confused by it. Sorry about prattling on but it just feels good to know there’s no judging here.
Thank you Nat

There's no judging here chick we are in the same boat on this one your not prattling on at all..bpd in my opinion is mostly about moods high and low moods.. I tried something called cbt for my ptsd and bpd have you heard of it it's cognitive behavioural therapy this helps you to understand your behaviour and thoughts and learns you to control certain situations but even celebrities like Catherine zeta Jones and Stephen fry Kerry katona and even the legendary Frank Bruno have bpd so it just goes to show you anybody can develop it...bpd sufferers go on to live fabulous life's with the right regulated meds it can be controlled very well hope this helps you honey
