When you're feeling like you lack motivation, what helps you to get it back. This year, I completed C25K, ran a Race for Life in 30:43 and managed to lose 2 stone.
Despite this, I got out of my running routine last month and have totally lost the urge to go out and about!
Any advice would be most welcome ...
Thank you and a very merry Christmas to you all

I personally feel there needs to be a balance in life with activities you do, your day to day life and what you eat and don't forget our bodies need salt, fat and protein. not having these is a bit like stacking bricks to make a house but you're not bothering with the mortar/cement because it's messy but it is all essential for mind and body.
If I want to do something I tend to put up psychological barriers to avoid it but they don't physically exist. I teach myself to push those out of the way and physically walk forward. so in your case, you want to jog but not prepared so dress up to jog, if you feel the urge to stop, then move forward to put on your jogging boots, if you still feel the urge to stop and go back then step out and just run and you've pushed your barriers out of the way that didn't really exist but only in your mind. I know it sounds easy but the honest truth is it is simple as that.
if you stuck in deadlock traffic then the truth is there's not much you can do about it other than listen to the radio or plan a different route but barriers in your mind that stop you going forward can easily be fought because they don't really exist, its just a matter of practicing to overcome them until you have a open road in front of you.
