Perhaps everybody knows this already but earlier today I was in my surgery and the nurse said that I need a blood test to determine if I have low ferritin levels which can cause numerous symptoms which I have.. So I looked it up on the Internet and came accross this ... Your doctor might order a ferritin blood test along with an anemia test if you have some of the following symptoms related with low ferritin levels:

Mysterious fatigue

Giddiness

Persistent headaches

Inexplicable weakness

Ringing in your ears

Tetchiness

Pain in your legs

Shortness of breath
