endo and thyroid
I’ve been told I have an overactive thyroid and low white blood cells, my gp said this can be caused from my endometriosis. Has anyone else every experienced this and if so what did they do about treating it?

Surgery coming up...will it affect my thyroid?
A bit of a silly question.... I have surgery coming up in 4 weeks (prolapse repair) and I'm wondering if it'll make my thyroid problems worse afterwards? I ask this because I'm pretty sure the massive blood loss (3.8 litres to be exact) and the whole trauma I had with my emergency C-section nearly

Is this a hypo/Hashimotos symptom?
When I start to feel I need an increase in thyroid meds I seem to get this weird symptom; soreness underneath my tongue. Just wondering if this has anything to do with the condition and if anyone else has experienced this? Seems to be one of those weird indicators in my body that I need an increase

See-Mode Technologies Receives FDA Clearance for Thyroid Ultrasound AI Analysis and Reporting Software
This is part of the "AI will solve ALL our problems" wave of hype, PR, marketing, etc. So take this article with lots of pinches of salt. Despite that, it has some interest and might well be helpful in many ways - eventually. It might pave the way for ultrasound to be used in smaller facilities who

Hypothyroid and Birth control
Anyone had any luck with hormonal BC whilst managing their thyroid? I have had my thyroid managed for years with the help of my dr. She has advised only non hormonal options for BC which I’ve followed for years. Recently I got a copper IUD placed and had serious issues and had to get it removed

Hi all, Underactive Thyroid diagnosed in 2018, have been taking 125 Levothyroxine since then with minimal changes in bloods in this time, well managed symptoms and not much to report. Had routine bloods done in May to find a low TSH of 0.27, GP asked for bloods again in 3 months and have just had

How does taking thyroid hormone switch off our own hormone production?
I’m relatively new to this group and learning so much and incredibly grateful to the wealth of knowledge here. I keep reading on various posts that when we introduce thyroid hormone (via which ever med) that it does not supplement but switches off our own thyroid hormone production and I am wondering

Thyroid Calculator
Hi all I have just had a comprehensive blood test done which included Thyroid. Having put my results in the thyroid calculator i wonder if anybody would interpret the results for me please? I’m not brilliant with maths! I can see they are not ideal, I’ve been feeling rubbish for months. Many Thanks

Itchiness?
This feels a bit random to ask here as I'm not even sure that it's thyroid-related necessarily - but does anyone else get really (sometimes borderline unbearably) itchy all over - especially at night? And, does anyone have any ideas about why might this be happening, or suggestions for how to alleviate

Took Erfa with Doxycycline while half asleep
Hi there! Has anyone ever accidentally taken their thyroid medication with something they shouldn't? If so, can I take another dose on an empty stomach later today? I usually take two doses spaced about 8-10 hours apart. Thanks so much for your help!
