Cancelled MRI scan

I have mistakenly cancelled MRI scan, was phoned on Good Friday and thought it was scam and not hospital I was very rude to lady on phone and she said they would n't bother me again, I only now think it was a genuine hospital call. How do I reinstate scan ?....HELP!

🤔 Ring the hospital who would be doing the scan, ask for the appointment line relating to MRIs🙂 Explain what happened..if you can attend at short notice, they may be able to offer a cancellation

Thanks phoned this am and doc's sec. says she will sort and notify me!

You may find you have to be referred again, this is what happens in my area if you either cancel and don’t rebook or miss an appt.

Thanks tried to rebook but doc's sec. says there is to be a meeting to decide , difference of opinion between doc. and radiology causes scan to be cancelled , doc's sec is trying to sort!!

Opps! We've all done it. There is a national shortage of radiographers and mri scanners which explains why you got a call from a different hospital etc. As previously said you might need to be rereferred, so you will probably need to go back to who referred you. If it was a consultant then you'll just need to call their secretary and she/he will sort it out. Unfortunately, this will likely mean you are back to the bottom of the list and I know that in my area the wait for an mri is 6 months. Being willing to take a cancellation might mean you're seen earlier though.

Thanks phoned sec. this morning and she says will sort and notify me. Apparently scan was cancelled but no one told me|!!!
