Can anyone advise whether the Mini Pill might be beneficial for menstrual migraine? I am approaching peri menopause with a vengeance and am experiencing excruciating migraines before every period. Blood loss is very heavy too. GP offered Mini Pill but I’m cautious about risks such as breast and ovarian cancer

I have tried several hormones the last month, including minipill. I can tell you it is trial and error. Each body reacts differently, the doctors cannot predict. You also need to try some time because some side effects become better, but for me in one month I knew. Specifically minipill my breast hurt a lot for about 2 weeks. PMS symptoms change so I see the logic of your GP.
