Sinus tooth ache

Hello, i would be grateful for any advice please. For years i have suffered on and off with sinus infections. The last two weeks upon waking i have experienced a pressure like sensation in my upper back teeth on my right side. This subsides completely after being up and about for about ten minutes. Is this typical of a sinus infections? Other than some post nasal drip and the occasional headache i have no other symptoms. My teeth are otherwise fine, no pain or sensitivity.

Thank you.

Yes, a sinus infection (sinusitis) or inflammation can cause a toothache — specifically in the upper rear teeth, which are close to the sinuses. In fact, pain in the upper teeth is a fairly common symptom with sinus conditions.

If you have a persistent toothache, first consult your dentist for an exam. He or she will consider possible dental causes for the toothache, such as periodontal disease, tooth grinding, cavities or dental abscesses.

If your dentist rules out a dental cause for the toothache, consult your doctor. He or she will consider whether a sinus condition or other underlying medical problem is contributing to the toothache.

Could you be Clenching your jaw as you sleep?

I'm not sure, i never have previously. Can't think what would suddenly trigger me to do so, my anxiety and stress levels aren't particularly high at the moment.

Sometimes it's due to the angle of your head, so potentially if your pillows have changed, this might be pushing your head forward causing you jaw to line up differently?

You can get a sleep guard to see if it helps at all.
