Itching shingles scars

Hello, i am looking for some advice please if anyone has any experience of what I'm about to write. I had shingles last year from late March to mid April above my right eyebrow. I occasionally experience tingling/burning in the area of skin where the rash was due to nerve damage/nerves still healing. I occasionally experience itching of the area too but this last week it has itched on and off for nearly a week. Is this common? Before my shingles started i remember itching in the region where the rash later developed but it was much more intense and constant. I suppose I'm over anxious that it could be the beginning of another episode of shingles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sarah.

My mum had shingles, she had a place above her eyebrow as you did. I never had shingles, but I had an op. five years ago and my scar still itches. Is it real or imagined I use cream because I have dry skin anyway. The pain will go eventually, try not to think about it.
