🤔 This could be caused for any number of reasons. For years I had off/on intense pain myself due to adhesions around my ovaries, and finally an ovarian cyst was found. It’s possible that the cyst causes more pain during ovulation and a period, and that’s why you get temporary relief. Go back to your GP if you need reassurance.
Thank you for this advice, I’m speaking to a GP today! I also have an cyst that was found on an ultrasound but a couple of weeks later I had another scan and everything looked healthy, no ovarian cyst. What are adhesions if you don’t mind me asking, maybe I have a similar thing?
🙂 Adhesions are areas of scar tissue that can cause organs or tissues in the abdomen to stick together. Usually found in the small intestine where it loops and piles up, adhesions can cause some of these loops to stick together, which can result in abdominal pain and occasionally obstruction (blockages) in the gut.
