Strange sensation

I have a rather odd symptom. Back when I had regular periods I would feel a little tremble (kind of a 'thrum') somewhere inside between the vagina and the rectum which would signal that a period was about to start. I'm 57 now and my last period was 2 months ago - they disappeared early last year but then came back regularly in the Autumn (which was a bugger as I thought they'd gone for good). Well for the last 2 weeks I have been feeling like a period is coming, I'm bloated, low back pain and really annoyingly the 'thrum' is a constant companion - like a tick in the eyelid but deep inside. It's driving me nuts... Does anyone else get this, what is it and should I worry?

Well I have a twin sister and we are 53. She has done this very thing. She went 9 months without a period and then started having symptoms and then did not start and then started about 6 weeks after that. I encouraged her to go to the doctor and he told her that it was menopause. He said that when you go without a period for 1 year, you are starting menopause. IT STINKS. menopause is not easy or fun. I would encourage you to at least see your doctor. They can do a blood test to check about menopause.
