Desogestrel pill- long bleeding

Hey, so I started the desogestrel pill, on the 3rd day of my last cycle, 3 1/2 weeks ago.

A little background info I’m 18 and have always had really irregular periods being 4 or more months apart, that last a week and can be fairly heavy.

So after taking the desogestrel pill I had some of the usual symptoms like dizziness, tenderness and acne however about 2 weeks in I started to get heavy brown discharge and occasionally some blood (bright red) that hasn’t stopped until now to which I have heavy bleeding and extremely painful cramps. All together I’ve had heavy brown discharge and bleeding for near enough 2 weeks now and i don’t think it’s normal so was wondering if anyone had experienced this or has adavive on what I should do.

I read that there was a possibility with pregnancy to cause bleeding and pain with this pill but not sure if this is correct?

Also is it still normal to have the dizziness?

I haven’t any experience with the medication your taking but I would suggestion having a re read of the medication leaflet at the possible side affects and if your still concerned go back and see your nurse or doctor. Medication can take a while to settle your body into a routine but I think if your concerned you should go back and chat with them
