Hello, I recently started bleeding bleeding after accidentally missing 2 of my contraceptive pills whilst on holiday. It got worse in the week so I went to the doctors, they didn’t test for anything just examined my tummy and said the bleeding will be because of missed pills. I went back today as the bleeding had become constantly heavy but again they said it is normal for this to happen. They did a pregnancy test but that is negative. I have decided to stop taking my pill now anyway as we are going to try for a baby but wondered if anyone else has experienced this type of bleeding and how long I should expect it to go on for as it is driving me mad!

If you have a continuous pill that stopped your period entirely, then you are experiencing a withdrawal bleed, which is standard. I would expect it to last around a week, maybe a touch longer, but if you've been bleeding for more than about 9-10 days, I'd go back to your doctor.
I don’t have a continuous pill I usually have a week break.
