I know very few people who don't!

Maybe ask your GP if they can refer you to a mindfulness group, which might help you feel better without medication, or see if there's a Frazzled group close to your home: frazzledcafe.org.

How could you not? After dx in 2013 and, so far, no progression, I have adjusted to living with CLL...most of the time. I still have my 'freak out" moments, but mostly I just immerse myself in doing the things I love and being with the people I love. Laughter helps! Also, there are times when I just have to "back-off" reading about CLL for a bit because it starts to get to me. I try to view it all as an educational experience...

I'm sorry that you struggle with anxiety and depression. This bit.ly/might_help you by giving you some ideas on how to cope. It is good to be prepared when these thoughts and feelings start to surface.

Yes I have both. Anxiety all my life and recently depression. Am trying to make lifestyle changes to help for both. Healthy eating and exercise so far. Stated the couch to 5k plan and I must admit (surprisingly) that I’m loving it!

Hi Bachi,

I have both too.

Sometimes I feel like I am an alien and will never adjust to anything.

A few things I started doing that I think will help.

1. A good therapist. By good is not the most expensive one, but the one you feel comfortable and talk about anything you want to talk about. If you don't have that connection and instead of being excited to have therapy, you should look for another one

2. I don't hide it from anyone/don't keep it a secret. Feeling like it is a secret was worse for me. you just need to think that this is not a weakness, because it's not. It's part of who you are, so accept it and surround yourself with people that accept it too.

3. Talk to your loved ones more, they are always a good source of support.

4. Read more books. I started reading more and it does keep my mind off the "black dog"
