Thanks guys for replying.. I am currently 127 Kilos, yes u heard right 127 .. Trying hard to get it off.. I work in a gym 4 to 5 times a week. But i lack motivation there. So hoping we can form a group and motivate each other on the same. You guys can give me some tips on how you have been trying to lose those kilos.
I am open to meeting up anyone who is close by so that we can group and plan! Let me know all your inputs.
Well, i was weighing around 85 kg. now i am down to 76 kg . I want to take it down to below 70 kg. still some way to go. but the reasons for
So far little success has come through with three things...
1) Cardiovascular exercises(Cardio):
I started with brisk walking but now can run at some good pace. Choose whatever you like be it brisk walk, jogging running or running on a treadmill anything. Even if you don't want to leave your living room you can run at one place or do simple Jumping Jacks etc. but move your body to give your heart some exercise. Disclaimer: Talk to your doctor first.
2)Strength Training:
Do some strength training. whether one is a male or female every body has to build muscles. Females cannot get bulky with lifting simple weights(not possible genetically) unless one is taking steroids...
You don't have to join gym or need plenty of equipment
A pair of dumbbells and or simple body weight exercises will go a long way in building strength. Consult a certified instructor at least.
3) Well balanced Nutrient rich Diet:
No matter how much you run on treadmill or how much weights one is lifting, would not do the trick if one is not eating right. there are plenty of sites where you can calculate your BMR and calculate your daily caloric requirement on the basis of your age weight and physical activities you do. Adjust your diet taking into equation all your carbs, protein and fat requirement.
Or best would be to go to a certified nutritionist. His consulation fee won't be more than eating out on a weekend.
In my opinion, 75% is eating a Nutrient Rich diet and rest 20% is your cardio and strength training.
In a nutshell, there is no magic formula or potion its simple plain hardwork, i.e. after consulting your doctor and physical trainer, exercise like a man possessed and eat right. There is no way that you would not get result. I am sure that you would start losing fat.
So this has worked for me so far, hoping same for you.
I m from vijaynagar ....m also trying to lose some but in my case i have hypothyroid so...its bit hard for me but i m trying...anyway fist u go n check for thyroid....then some other test ...like sugar bp etc then only can plan ...
Hi Pallu, I also have Hypothyroid, and m 90 kgs. I am on a target of 30 kg weight loss. I started a month back and have lost 3 kgs. If your workouts are okay, and diet to the point, thyroid should not be an issue. Keep in touch... I would like to know how you are doing.
I am here in Koramangala, 30kg weight loss target - I am full of motivation most of the times. Can run very well on treadmill (well, now almost 9-10 min at 7.5 speed) and am looking to better that. Let em know how can I help you. We can form a group... yes, and do some late evening meets and workouts together.
That is good vidhi ..... I took some gap ,My relative got cancer , so i was too busy with that but now i got free lil bit so again I am back to my mission... r u still in? I hope we will do some amazing result together.
So whats say people... how should we collaborate on this.. any ideas ?? I m gyming for 2.5 months now... but the running with my weight has given me a little trouble in the knee... Need help..
