Im new to the site and currently re-newing my subscription to a better lifestyle!
278lbs at age 30 🙄
I plan to workout Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and I just got a gym membership. I've been going for about 3 weeks now and I am somewhat consistent.
I struggle with motivation to go to the gym because of social anxiety and I honestly think working out is a boring task to complete.
As far as my diet, I have a weakness for tacos and margaritas, but I limit that to once a week most times. Other times, I'm just not eating because I'm not hungry and hate forcing myself to eat. So once a day (usually at night) is it for me.
What I'm searching for is a community of people to hold me accountable and honestly be interested in my come-up 😜
Shoot me chats and comments to encourage me and I'll take tips as well! 😃

Welcome to the forum, M_anon, good to have you with us
Good on you for signing up for the gym. It's not for everyone but maybe it will give you a regular pattern and, over time, you may get to like some of the equipment/exercises.
While exercise/activity has so many benefits, it's what we eat that is the biggest factor in weight gain/loss. Everyone has their own pattern and you need to find a healthy approach that you can enjoy, so you can stick with it for life.
I recommend the Daily Diary, where members share their meal and exercise plans for the day. Have a browse, ask questions and join in when you're ready. Again, it's about finding foods you enjoy, maybe new recipes, just trying things out. Your tacos and margaritas once a week are unlikely to be a problem. It's what we eat 80-90% of the time that makes a difference.
You'll find the Diary, weigh in, Fit is Fun club and much more by following this link healthunlocked.com/weight-l... Take your time scrolling through and then join in as much as you can.
I’m definitely 💯 trying to do the same weightloss journey as well . I’ve been trying low carb for 2 months now. I’m a lot older in my fifties so it may be a bit harder to lose the weight but I’m honestly trying. I have gotten a gym membership also, but struggle with social anxiety as well. ,,but if you encourage me I’ll encourage you oh how I wish I had a gym buddie ! My family all to busy and my husband is not interested because he’s on the slender side . What a life right ? Lol anywhooo let’s agree to keep each other encouraged and updated on our progress with weight loss.
