still no alcohol

I’ve been on this forum for a few years on and off, trying to lose weight, again on and off. So, another tactic.

This has been 4 weeks today, since I had a drink. Thank you TabbyCat for your support. It’s been really helpful. Although I had a glass of wine or 2 most days, it must have had an overall affect on losing weight.

When I get to 40 days, I’m going to concentrate on the sweets and food again. But at this moment I don’t want to overdo myself 🤣. One step at a time.

Best wishes everyone.

Whoopie! Well done Cockneyblue! You've had family celebrations, Easter and even a party for the Grand National that's a lot of potential drinking in one month, you'll smash the 40 days no problem!

Incase anyone else would like to join our Drinkless Club, this is the link to Awesome April

Am I in the right bit TC or should I be in Drinkless club?

I’m really pleased with myself, though I can’t say I’ve not been tempted. Bring on 40 days.

You're welcome to post wherever you like, I just took the opportunity for a bit of publicity, 😂 lol.

You're quite right to feel pleased with yourself, lots to be proud of.

Well done you.💪 I used to have one glass of wine every night and despite only eating 1400 calories, I couldn't lose weight. My Google searches told me that as the body views alcohol as a toxin, it must 'deal' with the alcohol first. This apparently delays its ability to process food into useful energy, but store more of it as fat. Alarmed, I switched to Nozeco and I've lost 14 lbs in 6 weeks 😀

Wow, well done you. I am/was similar to you. A drink every evening with my meal, usually red wine. Then, sometimes, g&t. Thank you for the information. That’s another thing to think about. Thank you.

Go beyond the 40 days. I gave up for a month in January 2020 and am still dry. Think of the other benefits apart from weight loss; you’ll sleep better, have more energy, your liver will thank you as will your doctor and your wallet.

Thank you. I am sleeping better but my scales have no battery, at the moment, so I’m not sure what’s happening. If I’ve gained, I might be tempted to have a drink, so I’m leaving it until the 40 days TheTabbyCat said about. It gives me something to aim for. My bp is down so fingers crossed.
