Hiya. Well done on getting this far.

After watching this --> ihavenotv.com/part-1-whats-... it's really given me the insight and the confidence to get through a plateau. Apparently everyone goes through it no matter what our weight, no matter what the diet.

It's just a tough patch we've got to pass through without throwing the towel in.

I guess the best we can do is to keep up the usual amount of effort we would put in knowing that we're not going to see a change on the scales for a while, and to be accepting of it and to be okay with it.

You can get through this.

Ps. Sorry, the link is to a series of three programmes that are 3 hours long in total. I think the bit about the plateau was the 3rd episode but I'm not 100% sure.

Hope you get through this and all the best with things 😊

Hi and welcome, Rosiewindsor :)

If you've been losing weight by calorie restriction, you may need to take a break to give your body a chance to reset. This may help healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

Take a break for 3 weeks to a month or so and focus on maintaining the same weight for now (allowing a variation of 2kg either way), let your body settle at this new weight before loosing any more.

Weightloss is stressful on the body and there's only so much you can push before it starts pushing back. Not taking diet breaks is why people put all the weight back.

Keep progressing like this, weightloss (maximum of 12 weeks in a row) - maintain weight minimum of 3 weeks - weightloss - maintain, until you're at the healthy weight you want to be!

Best of luck!
