Evening all. Today I had an interesting chat with my wife on why it's hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle or a weightless programme, which made me do a little research into it. Some common sense stuff and some interesting things. You can read about it in my blog, with links to the article I read.
Thank you for your productive day researching these articles they are very interesting. What they say is akin to the NHS website plan which i have personally found v useful, i.e. their 12 wk plan to change eating habits.
There's a few things that really ring a bell with me - I'm not necessarily hungry when I eat, I eat out of habit, and watching tv and food! They are 2 areas I can focus on.
The articles dont quite address my basic issue that I really like food!!
Cheers, they made interesting early morning reading - better than reading the news😁
Hi dontdojogging, I'm glad you found the articles interesting. Many of them are bog standard but I thought there were a few things in there of interest. There are so many articles out there though that it's impossible without weeks of research to find the best ones. I may keep looking though. There was one that pointed out that it's really hard because our bodies are essentially eating machines - so we all like eating. The problem is, for me, is finding healthy eating options that are as tasty as the non-healthy ones. Perhaps this is something else I can look at. Thanks for the reply and I hope that you manage to find something to help you. Good luck on your journey.
Very helpful, thanks. Especially self talk, which is working for me, and we know there is joke there somewhere. Where im at at the moment it struck a ,' with me, and its helping.
