Hi Maintainers, I’m new. My weigh day was yesterday and I have maintained my weight which I’m pleased with. I have learned some tricks on how to maintain like for instance we are celebrating my brothers birthday today. So I’m going to relax with the calorie counting then go back to 1500 for a few days. So I can kick back and enjoy myself like everyone else. So relax with calorie counting maintainers at special events. You deserve it after your hard work because you can always go back to 1500 calories for a few days. Don’t deprive yourself because you won’t keep it up.

Hi Maintainers, I’m New
Hello and welcome, Lotus-Blossom 😊
How did you decide on 1500 calories? I suggest you use the NHS BMI calculator to get a calorie range appropriate to you. In my experience, I was able to lose an average of 1lb a week eating around the middle of that range, not the bottom.
This is a busy place with loads of support and information to help you on your way and we've put everything you need into this Welcome Newbies post. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I recommend joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice - go for Saturday, if that's your usual day - and using the Daily Diary, where members log their meal plans and get useful feedback.
Please also read this information about security/privacy, especially as you have left your post unlocked healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
To make the most of the forum, join in with activities, read and reply to posts, ask questions and encourage others – it will all pay off for you 😊
By the way, there are members at all stages here, not just maintainers
Hello @Lotus-Blossom . Good that you're finding your way in the world of weight maintenance. There are quite a few of us on this site: some of us are long term maintainers ( several years), others only recently hit target, and some are maintaining but still hope to shed another few pounds,
The one thing we have in common is that we all succeeded in our weightloss and really want to keep the weight off. However most of us find that long term maintaining requires just as much attention!!
Over the years/months we have become supportive friends and every month we have a monthly Maintainers Club to share our trials , successes, and to keep ourselves focused. Here is the link to the November Maintainers Club which is now open, hosted by Hidden .
