Motivation to eat healthy

Fell off the wagon again this week. Starting my diet again today... What motivational tips will help me stick to a healthy eating plan?

Write a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight and stick it on your fridge, along with a picture of yourself. Then decide not to go on another diet, but to find a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.

Make this forum and those in it your friend and try to lose the idea that you are dieting. You are going to be eating and drinking in a generous healthy way that will be kind to your body and your mind.

Hi Jules. I bought a 20kg bag of dry sand yesterday to get me to feel what it is like to carry that much unnecessary weight around in my body. I can't believe it. My plan is to take sand out of the bag equivalent to the weight I lose every week with the idea that I will empty the bag. This is my motivation.

Think of the clothes that are maybe in your wardrobe, that will soon fit better, I had 3 sizes and am now at the lowest. Makes you feel good, also people are noticing. So I think it is worth you trying Jule

I do have clothes which are a bit tight and I don't feel comfortable in them, 'd love them to feel loose on me - that's a good goal. Thanks :-)

Not a diet but healthy eating required.

I fell off the wagon again this week but as with last few times of this happening - I have let it be only for a day and have gone straight back to healthy eating by the next morning - and more importantly have not beaten myself up about any lapse!!!

Also for me extra walking and exercise has been crucial.

Yes, I'm beginning to understand it's about having a healthy eating lifestyle rather than seeing it as a diet. So when we have a bad day you just go straight back to the healthy lifestyle. We're sometimes to hard on ourselves... Thanks
