Protein Shakes
Hello, Qwerty147, and welcome to the forum
I reckon food is best. Look to dietary sources of protein, and getting the right balance of protein, fats and carbohydrates throughout the day, from fresh foods, home cooked.
If you'd like to share your meals plans with others and see what they're eating, the Daily Diary is the place to go. I also recommend joining a weekly weigh in for the ongoing team support you will find there.

I must confess, I don’t really see the point in protein shakes, I would much prefer food, it feels like a waste of calories to drink my meals? However, my daughter uses them, she is very busy and works shifts so I guess they have their place 😊
Have a read of all the information Bridgegirl has given you and then do your own research, only you can decide what will work best for you
Good luck!
The most suitable thing to have for lunch would be food, IMO
Protein shakes are incredibly expensive for what they are, and unless you have a very good reason for needing a protein supplement (eg., you're a patient in a burns ward) I'd say there's not much point.
The key to losing weight is to learn to eat proper food again. Avoiding food is a good way to end up with an eating disorder, I reckon.
I agree with what everyone already said here - eat and enjoy real food.
This reminded me of a little part of a documentary I was watching yesterday about fat/protein/exercise... in one part they investigated whether protein shakes were a positive addition for people wanting to build muscle/benefit more from exercise... the end conclusion seemed to be that they have their place, but that protein shakes often provide people with more protein than they need, so they just end up producing "very expensive pee" !
I agree with what everyone else said getting used to eating well much better for sustainability. If you really have no time one day may have it's place but I'd rather make something up night before maybe a salad box or sandwich. Good luck
Always felt hungry after protein shakes , so , no good for me , nice chunky soup in a flask is much more satisfying
