What are the best apps for weight loss? I've found calorie and macro counting with apps to take too much time, so I'm trying this 12 week program.

Hi yakusohshi and welcome.
Many people here have used 12 week program to good effect to lose weight. You'll still have to count calories though.
My tip would be that whilst following that program, to see if you can cut back on processed food and your carb intake. By doing this you might find your journey more easy to travel.
Good luck!
Hi and welcome, yakusohshi
As Tiggerr has mentioned, the 12 week plan still requires calorie counting and I believe myfitnesspal is the most popular app to use, although there are others. Please make sure you get a personal calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator though, as the 1400/1900 quoted are generic numbers, unsuitable for most of us.
If calorie/macro counting doesn't appeal, then maybe this would be better for you phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

Thanks for the info I tried the BMI calculator, but the results page doesn't list a calorie number. Maybe it's because I have a BMI of 24.6. (It looks ok on paper, but in reality the twenty pounds that I gained impacts my blood pressure.) Finding a calorie range remains a mystery to me because I haven't found a number that results in change.
Try increasing your weight on the calculator, until you're just in the overweight bracket and see what that gives you, or choose the alternative in the link I gave you
Hi,
I used 2 apps, cronometer and lifextend. I am not a big fan of calories mesures so I prefer to focus on what I give to my body in terms of real nutrition. These 2 apps gives you a clear view of your foods' content and Lifextend gives you also some information about the link bewteen organs' functionning and food. It is simple to use and you also have some quizzes.
Hope this help.
