My advise would be to eat well and eat healthy, don't over do the calorie deficit and always train hard in the gym!

Hi.depending on how many times you go to the gym, my advice is to get into a routine,if u get to the gym a few times a week, once u familiarise yourself with different machines, u can mix it up a bit so u don’t get bored.

I get to mine 3 times at the most, I’m liking it as when it’s busy I just find a spare exercise machine& do it.i still have not tried all the machines & have been a member for a few months now.

Also, if possible find a fellow gym person.i find all the excuses not to go if I’m by myself. I’m lucky that my friend who I go with is also my work colleague so we support each other. My partner also goes but he just does cardio,we did a Sunday morning & ive managed 25 minutes on the ski machine on fat burn setting..so having someone with me passes the time.

I have at least a stone to lose, I’m down 7ibs in 3 weeks.the combination of no snacking on nuts, crisps, chocolate etc has helped plus eating loads of veg. It’s down to self discipline & not buying that stuff in the first place.

The fact that my partner wants to get fit is a huge support as I can relate to all those out there trying their best but have a family sat snacking on all the bad stuff..hope this is of some help.x

Tenneng welcome x

My advice is don’t eat cake (or biscuits or sweets or chocolate or ice cream), however few calories it apparently has. And ignore that weightwatchers & slimming world nonsense of treats or sins or whatever. Give them up for good & you won’t want them before long.

Hi Tenneng, welcome to the most wonderful place 😊

I joined here at the end of May with 3 stone to lose, and am now at about a stone down. I've been calorie counting but now considering low carb high fat, I've been reducing my carbs now for a while and it's definitely not as hard as I expected it to be.

Exercise will help you in so many ways, but doesn't massively help you to lose weight, that will be down to your food choices.

Check out the links from admin and read and post as much as you can. And definitely join the weekly weigh in.
