Hey everyone. I'm new here. I'm having a little 'AAAARRGH!' Moment. Have been eating very sensibly for two weeks and the weight was starting to come off. Had lost 4 kg! Went to restaurant for lunch yesterday , foolishly had starter main and pud AND IT'S ALL COME BACK ON! Why oh why? You only have to take your eye off the ball for a meal and its back to square one. So discouraging !

Need a little encouragement
I know exactly what you mean, I’m the same
I think that's the hardest thing - learning to keep watch all the time, until (maybe one day) you can do it without conscious mental effort. My weight loss curve has lots of bumps! Don't let one bump stop you from doing what you know works.
Hi and welcome, Mandymarshmallow
You have to view this as a lifestyle change, not a diet. You need to factor in high days and holidays, deciding whether you're able to manage a little of what you fancy, without making it a lot, or you change your way of eating. Btw, a 4kg overnight gain isn't fat, it will be water retention due to excess carbohydrates

Well done on losing 4kg! Your meal yesterday won't have put it all back on - I reckon the scales will dip again in a day or two once your body has fully digested yesterday's meal. Don't be hard on yourself! Just return to your good habits today and look forward not back. Good luck!
