Ok, so I know you shouldn’t have chocolate but if I was to have the odd bit once a week what would you recommend apart from dark chocolate?

Chocolate
The beauty of calorie counting is nothing is banned, so anything is allowed as long as it’s accounted for, so I would have whatever you enjoy. One thing I have learnt is only eat food that represents good value for the calories, if you follow me 😊 My favourite are the dark chocolate ginger biscuits and I have them as an occasional indulgence
I would suggest your very favourite chocolate, savour and enjoy!! I should think you deserve a treat once a week , make it a normal , not naughty treat.
Wise words 😊. The very definition of a treat is an occasional occurrence, it’s only when we start having treats three times a day it’s an issue
Sometimes I have had a lousy day at work . I have half a bar of whatever I fancy knowing the other half is there for another day . Usually hit a Zumba class when I'm stressed and this stops me eating anymore.
Yes, exercise is excellent as it help raise endorphins and boost mood 😊
I also find, for me, it’s an appetite suppressant
The worst time for me was early evening. Home from work, collapse on the sofa then think of food 'rewards '. I have at least 2 evening Zumba 's booked then I know these days I will get through but now I actually enjoy once I'm there .My new job allows more me time . I wouldn't have even applied for a year ago. Never mind the dreaded interview which I actually enjoyed in my new clothes which made me feel good .
Just had a small bowl of mint choc chip icecream, mmmm.
I find sweeter milk chocolate can be a binge trigger, so go for dark. But over Christmas I managed to fit quality Street into my daily macros/calories
When I started out, a two fingers kit kat was a regular snack and at 108 calories it was easy to include in my calorie allowance . However as time went on I improved my overall food choices: far less carbohydrates ( like bread, pasta, biscuit ) and more healthy fats and protein ( full fat greek yoghurt, double cream in coffee, eggs , real butter ) which satisfied my hunger and changed my taste buds.
I'm a longterm maintainer and I still buy chocolate, but nowadays I only really like the very dark stuff with a high cocoa content . I have a couple of squares and thatsee enough. The big tin of quality street my partner bought at xmas didn't tempt me, I think I only had 3 in total and he got fat on the rest 😆
Who said you can't have chocolate???!! 😨😨😨 Lol
I'd would never survive without a bit! I have one finger of a twirl every evening. Is 90 calories. And as that is less chocolate than I used to eat I'm finding my craving for chocolate has gone down a lot and sometimes (rarely but sometimes) I decide to not even have my twirl.
Yes they're perfect , good advice !
I have Heavenly Chocolate. Very low sugar. I only have 2 squares a day works out at 80 calories. You can buy it online. Lots of flavours to choose from.
Some dark chocolate is better than others - so perhaps you could try different brands and different cocoa content? If I have some that I find too bitter I melt it and mix it with some extra thick double cream to make it more palatable. I try and stay away from 'regular' chocolate as a little of that stuff is never enough!
