I had been doing really well and surprised at how much I was enjoying running. Got to week three, just about to start week four then boom! Caught my foot walking off a curb and tore a tendon, swollen and bruised foot I haven't run for nearly a week and starting to feel a bit of cabin fever. As soon as I can I'll be running again but at the moment im just feeling a bit useless

Feeling down :(
Oh man. Bummed to hear. Give it the time it needs....
Ooh that looks sore. Hope it heals soon and you can get back to running.
Ouch! That looks painful. You couldn’t possibly run on that. Feet up! Or maybe get a mat out on the floor and do some core exercises for strength and stability. It will improve your running and reduce your risk of injury.
Ow, that sucks! Torn tendons take a while to heal, too. Assuming your doctor/physiotherapist allows it, could you perhaps borrow an exercise bike for a couple of weeks to stay active while healing? Many people have one collecting dust somewhere and wouldn´t mind lending it out for a while.
Hello and welcome to the forum ReluctantRunner1983 😊
Ouch!! That looks really sore, I hope you’ve had it checked out? Take care and get well soon. 💐
I’m presuming you are also wishing to lose weight? If you haven’t already, then please read the Welcome post here which has lots of useful information about all the things we have on offer healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Make sure you give it time to heal and do strengthening exercises before going back to running. I've gone back to training before to soon and ended up with injuring it more and being out of action for a lot longer in the end.
Have you seen a physio?
Hope you find an alternative to do in the mean time to stop you getting bored.
What an absolute nuisance and you were walking too! I run very. Slowly because I’m fearful of injury.
Hope you get back to it soon. In the meantime try some yoga or Pilates to keep that blood flowing. There’s plenty you can do without putting strain on your foot. Good luck
Oh you poor thing! Looks painful, and annoying for you as that will need a decent rest. Try to stay positive and use the healthy time. Mental strength required now. Meditation? Good luck!
Ouch. Hope it heals quickly and you get back running soon.
Ouch ! You poor thing, would you like to join our Easter challenge to lose half a stone by Easter? Just post your weight on the Easter Countdown challenge post, hope to see you there! I will attach a link for you.
Ouch ouch ouch. I think you should rest that RR. It will get better quicker. You’ll soon get back to running. It’s too cold out there at the moment anyway. Good luck.
