Morning peeps. I'm a bit please today. Lost 4 1/2lbs this week. Three weeks in and I have just 1 1/2lbs to lose to make it the 12lbs I intend and another 1/2 inch and I'll be back to my handsome self - with a bag over my head, obviously!

It is incredible to me. Never been on a weight loss diet before so had no idea how I would fare. I'm calling it "dedicated commitment", but as I've said before I couldn't have done it on my own. So thank you again to you and you and you and... etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...

Congratulations on an awesome loss! Time to set your sight on how you´re going to maintain because going back to doing what you were doing usually means going back to weighing what you were weighing plus some extra. With how well you´ve done I´m sure you´ve got a plan for that as well though :-) Best of luck!

Hi Shotglass. Good to hear from you. My plan for the future? I'm on 1,700 calories a day at the moment. When I hit the magic figure I will increase to 1,900, hoping to maintain my weight and waistline and keeping my eye on that. I exercise doing yoga, I'm looking to increase my exercise activity a little more, nothing too drastic; I'm getting on a little - I'm 62, and my job keeps me active.

I count the calories, I weigh portions, I intend to watch fat content more. I turned vegetarian quite recently. With all that I'm doing I appreciate what I'm eating now I really do enjoy it, without over-indulging.

What I won't do is disappear from this community. I couldn't do it on my own, so I will stick around.

Thanks for your words of encouragement, Shotglass. Hope we'll chat again.

Thank you Lytham. Haven't got back sooner, I've been thinking about the Easter challenge. Can you tell me a little about it; I'm not sure how much help I can be, much as I'd like to, being so close to my target.

Hi H61g. Thanks for that. I didn't know how I'd fare, never having been on a weight loss diet before but with my goal staring right at me now, I can't help thinking the hard work is about to start - maintaining it. I'm very close to finding out. Best of luck with your journey.
