Injury!

So I have had a fabulous weekend, we went to visit a place called the Soca ( pronounced Sorsha) valley, it’s the most beautiful place I have ever seen! It’s famous for its emerald green river, it was just magnificent! I usually fall off the wagon at the weekend but we went for breakfast in the city and I had scrambled eggs which was lovely and we had a bbq in the evening but cut out all the crusty bread we would normally tuck into!😂 I also got up and did my second day of couch to 5k so I was feeling really pleased with myself until yesterday!!! I slipped and fell down the last two steps at the bottom of the stairs and have sprained my ankle quite badly and think I may have fractured my little toe!!😬😬😬 I did all the right things I was taught in first aid, rest, ice, elevation etc, it’s very painful today but I can walk ( gingerly!) on it! I am supposed to do my third run today before starting week two! What shall I do??? If I go out on it will I make it worse? Should I rest it and start my 5k again or do I just try to carry on?? So frustrated!! On a good note the sun is shining, I have sat out on the balcony and had grapefruit, blueberries and low fat strawberry yoghurt for breakfast! Really trying hard this week for a loss ( fingers crossed !) on Wednesday! Have a good day everyone🌞😊

OUCH, JAstbury! Poor you! My advice is go to A & E and get it X rayed, then be advised by the medical staff! Don't run until someone says it's OK!

In the meantime, do what you have been doing and enjoy the sun :)

Beautiful picture!! :)

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing! I think I could do some exercise by at least sitting on the lawn and pulling a few weeds!! I think I need to rest it for a few days, I only started the 5k on Thursday so I have time yet to fit in the last run before it’s time to start week two! Thank you 😃

There's no time limit to the C25K. It can be done at your own pace :)

Oh that lousy luck!! Poor you 😕

Definitely rest it until it’s healed, but maybe do some other, non weight bearing exercises?

Ps I don’t be afraid of full fat products, we need some fat, it’s vital for vitamin absorption, and good for satiety. For years I thought I disliked yogurt, what I dislike is low fat yogurt 😊

Thank you, yes I might do a little gardening where I can sit and pull weeds or do borders etc! Yes I agree I don’t particularly like low fat yoghurts they are thin and runny!!! 😊
