Easter wine deals self sabbotaging!!!

With Morrison's doing 3 bottles for £15 rather than about £7 a bottle normally and sainsburys 25% off six bottles. I'M LOOKING LIKE I'M STARTING AN OFF LICENCE!!

I don't buy things , then I cant be tempted.

People buy certain foods I can't avoid them.

Good luck

Not only is wine very calorific, but drinking it will lower your ability to make wise/healthy food choices.

In terms of avoiding the wine aisle, only you can do that 🙂

But I know from experience, stockpiling anything that you really like will just mean that you consume far more.....

As others have said, part of the weight loss journey is about changing behaviours that contribute to our weight issues..... so maybe now is the time to ditch the wine (I’m a poet don’t you know!)

And me Pineapple . If I don't buy I can't drink or eat it and now I soon get over that by thinking ahead to weigh in day .

Absolutely Pineapple. I radically cut down my alcohol 18 months ago as I was aware of just the sort of thing you say - the calories themselves and the lack of control over eating, once I'd started drinking.

I used to go for the 25% off when you buy 6 bottles, and they didn't last anywhere near as long as 6 bottles bought separately. Now I buy a min bottle when I want one, or a can of G&T - not for the purists, I'm sure, but we all have to know how we deal with "temptation"

I agree Gary as I wouldn't buy 3 bars of chocolate on offer I wouldn't buy so much wine . Aldi and Lidl do single bottles for less than £4 each . I am staying off alcohol except for birthday meals etc . Won't buy any to drink at home . I have made such an effort to try and get rid of what I see in the mirror. I don't want knock backs .

Same here, and I've found it does get easier. The wine aisle isn't for me any more

Step away from the wine aisle 🍷😊🤣

I bought 2 mini bottles on Thursday, so we could have a glass with our roast lamb meal, & they're still in the fridge!!!

I did enjoy the lamb though 😊

I actually don’t drink, well almost, half a measure of Baileys every few months, nor do I miss it!

Even an excess of fruit juice or anything slightly carbonated tends to upset my tum, largely water and black coffee

Bought most of Sainsbury's supply of Sauvignon blanc but despite this managed to lose 2lb.

It's all stacked up in the understair cupboard locked in like Harry Potter at Privet Drive by Uncle Vernon...... calling to me let me out, let me out you know you want to.

Buy in the sales; but keep it for special ocassions or a treat when you have someone to share the bottle with.

Also use small wine glasses and focus on the individual flavours and textures of each wine, that way you get more value out of each bottle and you're like to consume less, saving you calories.

Not what you're looking for?
