After a recent trip to the doctor ive realized just how much weight I have gained in the last 5 years, I am now 23 stone with a bmi of 50!
I know what I should eat and have no problem preparing food due to my job. It is so hard with the constant temptation of working with food , not to pick at.
I absolutely love all sport but don't have the confidence to join any clubs as I will probably be out of breath in 5 minutes!
Help and advice appreciated

It's a common problem when a chef, to enjoy eating the delicacies you've created, so you're in good company. Don't they say never trust a skinny chef?

Hello and welcome Chefchris 😊. They say the best workout is the one we do in the kitchen, cooking and preparing lovely fresh and nutritious food, so you have a head start there!
Have a good look around and read all the links Moreless has given you, and just ask if you have any questions 😊
Have you seen Tom Kerridge’s programmes on BBC? You might find them useful, they’re available on iPlayer I believe. He also struggled as a chef but has successfully lost weight and got fitter
Hi Chefchris , re sport, I'm passing on this one that another poster recommended recently - football for men who want to lose weight. Maybe there's a team in your area - or maybe you could start one manvfatfootball.org/Home/Re...
You can do this Chris .... I'm sure you are already very creative with food (for other people) and you probably know a lot more than most about nutrition.. so my guess is, portion size and snacks are the culprit for you. Try the 12 week plan for starters and do plan and record what you eat... it's amazing how much less we consume when we see it written down !
