It's always good to have a plan, but weight loss isn't linear, so you have to be prepared for months when you may lose less weight, or for the fact that 6 months may not be long enough. We've found it best to embark on a new, healthier lifestyle, which you'll continue forever.
Whilst exercise is good for health and well-being, it plays a very small part in weight loss and a mixture of strength and cardio, is probably the best way to go.
I would advise more variety in your diet, as 6 months of the same food will be boring and may not supply all the micro nutrients that your body needs. You can log onto the Daily Diary for some excellent ideas for meals, although most of them will have a European slant.
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link
I'm finding it helpful to have a weight goal in mind but not be too fixed about timescales. As moreless has said, the focus here tends to be learning new, healthy eating habits that will last for life. I'm calorie counting within the range indicated when I checked my BMI on NHS calculator, and I've been surprised how much I can eat. I've also tried some new foods and recipes, so I've enjoyed it, which I think is key to sticking to something.
Good luck and get involved on here - you'll get lots of encouragement
Welcome! Sounds like you have some great goals. Good luck.
Hi Maahi_jzx , over the time of your weightloss journey you will find what works for you. A good variety of food and doing exercise that you enjoy is usually the best way to sustain your path.
